Each louver looks and feels like 100% wood; however, its composite wood core is sealed with a durable PVC top coat to ensure unprecedented strength. This top coat is UV resistant, making our shutters stand up well against sunlight and heat so that they do not fade, peel, or chip with time. It is also water resistant to help protect your blinds from water and moisture, which would normally cause warping in traditional woodshutters. Moreover, our Shutters have a higher density than traditional wood shutters and that provides greater insulation from heat and the cold, so they won’t shrink, expand, or dry out.
Elite Richwood® Shutters are offered in various tints of white and 3.5” and 2.5” louver sizes. There are six different panel configurations, six frame styles, and an impressive selection of bi-fold or bypass track systems. Our Shutters can also cover your specialty shaped windows, like ovals, semi-circle arches, quarter arches, octagons, and hexagons in a stationary sunset louver or movable starburst louver configuration.
